This is the green EltaMD sunscreen. It goes on green because green sits opposite red on the color wheel, so it neutralizes visible redness on contact rather than covering it. Underneath is a 100% mineral sunscreen built for skin that flushes, stings, or reacts. It settles to neutral within about a minute, so do not judge it in the first thirty seconds. It is one of two Skin Recovery sunscreens in the full EltaMD range. If you would rather skip the tint, UV Skin Recovery SPF 50 is the untinted version.

Four things do the work. Zinc oxide at 12.9% is the only active, which makes this a 100% mineral sunscreen with no chemical filters. AA Complex at 2% is EltaMD's patented blend of three amino acids, formulated to repair the skin barrier and reduce the look of redness. Ceramides strengthen the barrier. Centella asiatica calms skin that is sensitive or compromised.
